EXPOSITION/CONFERENCES IDEIAS OF INTIMACY

The exhibition – Ideas of Intimacy – addresses space notions such as privacy, tranquility and coziness, associated housing issues. Through twelve projects carried out by Portuguese architects, the theme explores how the idea of intimacy of each individual is interpreted by the architect, and becomes a space, that is, in architecture.
It addresses issues related to how the architect understands the domestic space, organizes our environment, habits, values and bodies.

This initiative counts on the participation of the architects, authors of the projects in exhibition, for a series of conferences with an intimate character, reinforcing the intentions of this exhibition.
The aim is to discover new ways of relating to ourselves and to one another in the intimacy of the home, by equating a set of principles linked to the perception of the constructed form.
This exhibition counts on the collaboration of projects by Barbas Lopes, ASPA, Extrastudio, Falcão de Campos, Gonçalo Byrne, Inês Lobo, JL Carrilho da Graça, José Adrião, Manuel Aires Mateus, Ricardo Bak Gordon, Ricardo Carvalho and RUA.
