The architects Lorenzo Giuliani and Christian Hönger of Giuliani.Hönger will present in FAUP the conference “Ambiguous Typologies & Powerful Spaces” within the programme of MATTER: The White Conferences. The conference will take place today, 6pm, at Fernando Távora Auditorium.
Under the heading Ambiguous Typologies & Powerful Spaces, Lorenzo Giuliani and Christian Hönger will take the opportunity not only to discuss Powerful Spaces and their own work, but also to introduce a second fundamental, trans-historical, trans-authorial architectural phenomenon. Giuliani.Hönger will attempt to approach the posed questions on the basis of historical, contemporary and personal references, as well as propose certain theories.
Since 1991 Lorenzo Giuliani and Christian Hönger have their own office in Basel, giuliani.hönger, which is based on a narrow relationship between their professional practice and endearing individual teaching careers as guest professors with particular reference to the EPFL Lausanne design studio Concrete Architecture (2013 to 2015), where they deepened Powerful Spaces concept. Their work has been broadly discussed, published and exhibited, namely in the institut GTA ETH Zurich, entitled giuliani.hönger dreidimensional (2006) and Aedes Galerie, in Berlin, entitled Schnittwerk (2010).
